Sweet 16

My sister celebrated her 16th birthday last February. And as a Super ATE (well pretending to be one haha!) I helped with the preparation from invitation, to head dresses, decorations, baking and treats buffet organization. Well it's an intimate party.  Just her classmates and Adviser and there's  "US", her overly kikay family. Kikay because of how we prepare the party. It just started with simple theme then decided to go girly, with pink and black color theme, with hair accessories, even the invitation is not easy to do. Even though it's just a small party, kinulang pa rin kami ng time to prepare and organize every small details.

She was so beautiful. And I began to realize....Wow! my baby sister is now a lady. How time flies. I remember the days I took care of her when she was still a baby, to toddler years, "kikay" little lady, and now she's 16. Teary eyed..... Oh well!

Her party was so cool. Ugh! I wished I had the same party when I was 16, That was many, many, MANY years ago. Haha! You be the judge comparing her picture with mine on our 16th birthday. Just don't laugh at my throwback picture okay!

I'm laughing my ass off right now, Sorry for my word. I am the one with the green shirt with stripes .  The harder I look at my picture made me realize  "eww" baduy ko naman noon. Anyways, I knew I still had fun with my friends on that day.

Here are some bits and pieces of my sister's birthday bash.

Treats buffet was divine! Arranged by yours truly, of course!

How cute is this? It's like she's dreaming of Paris one day. That's one wish on her bucket list.

Sweet treats anyone? Chocolate cupcakes with buttercream frosting, cake pops, brownies, oatmeal cookies and banana bread with peanut butter topping. Baked goodies by the birthday girl and I. And after the baking, the kitchen was such a mess. Sorry mom!

Inspite of lack of time and preparation. All in all her birthday bash was a success, and everybody enjoyed the night partying. And most importantly, the happiness I see through my sweet sister's eyes. That's one precious gift. Don't grow up too fast my baby sister, Ate is always here for you. Muah!
