PAINT MY LOVE 2

As I had promised the colours continues.......

I love her eyes.

Cherry blossoms again. They are so beautiful, and easy to do hehehe.

A branch of Cherry Blossom.

My family when we were only 3.... now I have to create another for a family of four. With the addition of our bunso.

Well,  thats it. Nothing much. I am not a professional painter but I still love them.  How  I wish I can make some more. Maybe one day. I would love to paint again. It brings me so much happiness and indulgence.

PAINT MY LOVE

I miss painting..... probably the last time I paint if I can recall was 2012. While I was cleaning and organizing my drawers, I found some of them and suddenly felt a tickle in my stomach....Oh how I miss painting.

Here are some of them. I have taken their picture once I've finish each one.
Somebody teased me about this painting. Is it Michael Jackson? NO! It's actually a woman. Hahaha It will be better next time. Promise!

I actually copied this one from the internet, when I was browsing for a subject.

When I was bored and have nothing to do. I did this. And my best of  friends is all I can think of.
I have a thing for Tulips too.
The title says it all .......    I love cherry blossoms!

Colours will continue on my next blog....................

MANILA STAYCATION

My family likes staycations, And we always visit Manila, it's sort of a family tradition. We have been doing this for almost 7 years, usually in the month of  June, before the start of every schoolyear.

And yearly we're staying only at one hotel, At the Orchid garden suites Manila. Located at Malate.

Click here to check out the Orchid Garden Suites

We are from Bataan, so we travel by bus at 7:30 am. Travel time is about 3 to 3 1/2 hours. We arrived at the hotel  11 in the morning. We could have arrived early if it wasn't for the traffic Ugh!

Since we have reserved our room by phone, once we arrived at the lobby and I approached the receptionist. The transaction went smooth and we are also allowed to check-in early. The supposed check-in time is 2 pm. I guess more rooms are available that moment.

From the outlook of the hotel, it may appear as an ancestral mansion. With vintage, rustic ambiance.

Inside is a cozy, boutique hotel. You will be greeted by friendly and courteous staff.

We booked our stay for 3 days and 2 nights. Although our room is the Executive suite, with one bedroom separate living, dining area and kitchen facilities which allows us to cook. If we ever decide to eat out or go shopping, the hotel is comfortably situated near Harrison Plaza. Just a 5 minute walk and you're there.

Free scheduled shuttle bus to and from Mall of Asia is provided daily. Star city is also near the hotel, if you are commuting there are jeeps and taxis available. The guards of the hotel can also get taxis for you as you wait at the lobby, they even record the plate number of the taxi,, how convenient.

But we didn't go out the first day, we just chill inside the room, And we took advantage of  the hotel's swimming pool.

Can't help to take this photo.

View from our room.

On our second day, the kids went swimming again. And I took off  to Divisoria to buy some stuff. And in the afternoon we went to SM Mall  of Asia and had dinner at Pepper Lunch.

On our last day, we had our breakfast buffet at Cafe Alicia. The hotel's restaurant. Normally, they had free breakfast for two, so we just pay for the excess.  I really love buffets, for all the choices and freshness of food..

This was taken last 2014

Before we check out, the kids went to swimming again. And after that we flee to MOA. We went for some shopping for school stuff. And roam around the mall. By 7 in the evening it's time to go home. We took the bus ride by 8 pm.

It was a tiring day. But still enjoyed every little bit. Especially after spending the staycation with family.
Orchid Garden Suites has been our home away from home. We wouldn't spend so many years if we are not satisfied. Their staff are very accomodating and courteous. Their facilties are very nice and very cozy.

Next year, We will surely come back for sure!

SINGAPORE/MALAYSIA TRIP DEC. 2012 - JAN. 2013 Part 1

We planned yet another trip to Singapore in 2012.  My husband saved enough money and we planned ahead. We flew via Cebu Pacific and arrived exactly on Christmas day.

Great weather for our flight.

Darionne is all set to see again his daddy.

We are all together on Christmas Yipee!

After we arrived at my husband's place we went straight ahead to the cinema and watch Wreck it Ralph. We all enjoyed the movie.

My husband doesn't always have free time. So, we just waited for his vacation leave. Meanwhile, my  son and I just amuse our selves at his place.

Darionne always have the pool all by himself. One of his hobbies.
One of the place we visited is the Marina bay. It was the first time I saw it at night. Such a wonderful place.
One word. Amazing!

DARIONNE'S FIRST TIME IN SG

We have saved some money for a vacation. And finally I can bring along our son, Darionne. We were so excited to travel together, to see his daddy.

We board our flight at DMIA clark pampanga, via Cebu Pacific air, because it's budget friendly. When we were about to take off, Darionne began to cry. Poor baby, he's terrified. I just hold his hand and hugged him. And reassure him that everything is fine. It took about five minutes until he calm down. I point out the clouds and the fields visible to our window. And he forgot about his fear. Good thing, I brought some of his toys and a story book.

We were picked up at the arrival area by my husband.  We're so happy to be together again. We went straight to the condominium he's staying at Kembangan.

Most of the time we just stayed at his place. We just waited for my husband to have free time, to take us out for a tour. Each place we visit is so special, because we're all together.

Universal Studios Singapore.

My two boys. Love them so much.

When my son got bored at the house, we always go to the playground. He loves to run and slide.

He's very much entertained at this playground. I'm so much in awe, in every block we went sigurado may playground for kids. Singapore really thought this through. Sana mayroon din ganito sa Pilipinas, maraming playground para sa mga bata.

Darionne has fascination about trains. And he loves to ride it.

We were just in time for the olympics. But we did not really watched it. Just want to have Photo op.

We also went to Singapore Zoo. Darionne enjoyed it very much. It was the largest zoo we've ever been too. Lucky that we had our rubber shoes on. But I regret not getting a stroller for Darionne. We took turns carrying him. He's really getting big and heavy. So if ever you plan going to Singapore zoo. Bring along a stroller for your convenience.

You will also find Kidzworld inside Singapore Zoo. After all the walking, kids will really enjoy especially at the wet play area, because I surely did.

It was so much fun.

We visited Merlion Park at Marina bay.  And had our dinner at Makan Sutra.

Did some shopping at Takashimaya.

Sorry for this pic because I honestly can't remember where this place is. Ugh! I think it's Novena???

One of the things I love about Singapore, is their Hawker place. Love to eat!

These are some of the things, we did on Darionne's first trip to Singapore. And we really did enjoy. Especially our family being complete even for a short period of time.
But this is not the first and last adventure of Darionne in Singapore. I will have other blogs for our trip.  So please check them out.

MY FIRST TRIP TO SINGAPORE AND MALAYSIA

During my stay, it wasn't easy.  There were days, No job interviews. Kung mayroon man, I'm not even considered. But regardless of my failure on finding a job. I was still happy spending few months with my hubby. taking care of him and spending time together. When my husband has free time. He would tour me to places.  I wish, our son is with us, He promised me that next time I visit Singapore he will be with us.
At Marina Bay.

Here's Merlion, oops he's behind my husband.

At Bugis

We also went to Kuala lumpur, Malaysia. And tour at Petronas twin towers.

The place we stayed at in Kuala Lumpur.

JOB HUNTING IN SINGAPORE

Since 2008, My husband has been working in Singapore. It was hard, because it was a first for us to be far away from each other. But we have to accept because that is life. And to be able to survive, all of us should sacrifice.

I was a working mom then, at a bank. And I decided to resign. So that I too can go to Singapore, be with my husband and look for a job.

So in the same year, I flew to Singapore. It was a heartbreaking experience. Especially to me, because of my son,  He's only 2 years old that time. I was crying my eyes out. But I have to take the risk and find a good job. Our plan is to have a stable life there and after we'll get our baby so that we can all be together.

But it wasn't as easy as I thought. At that time, it was the recession period.  Kaunting trabaho lamang ang available to foreigners, like us Filipinos.

On my first day, My husband has to work. So, I just familiarize myself to the neighborhood. I went to Shengshiong (Grocery store)  bought some food and newspaper, better to start browsing. And of course, I called my mother and kinumusta ko ang baby ko kahit hindi niya ako kinakausap sa phone, just to hear him I felt happy. And kinda sad because I miss him so much.

On my second day, I ask my husband to tour me around. We went to places, by train. I told him, I need to learn the routes of transportation around Singapore. So that when he's not available I can go by myself especially when I have to seek for a job.

I bought an EZ link card, it's a reloadable card to use as fare in buses and  SMRT (trains). It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be when travelling around even when I'm alone. I easily understood the routes, where to transfer from one train to another. I just have keep an open eye.

On my second week.  There were few hirings available for foreigners, I gave them my resume. Went to interviews. But luck was not on my side. Aside from preference for local residents. Language barrier is one thing. It was my first time to have conversation with a Singaporean and there are times I can't understand. But I still try to he he he he..... Well, no need for excuses. I just have to try harder.

I buy newspapers everyday, googled jobs and go to interviews. But to no avail.

There were times, I cry myself to sleep. Because I can't find a job and then I miss my baby boy. So sad for me. It's a good thing my husband is with me all of those time. Because he's there to support me.

Then, I went to a job agency. And later on, they found a job for me. Well, I didn't have experience for the job. It was as Sales representative.  I was an accounting graduate by the way.

So they process my papers, and I waited. But bad news came. MOM (Ministry of Manpower) didn't approve my application. Some technical problem with my experience and everything else. I was so bum..... Sayang! Akala ko okay na ako. Nakakapanghinayang.

I was so down after that. But then I have to pick myself up again. And start again.

Newspaper. Google. Give Resume. Interview. Again, and again.

Time flies too fast, and we realize luck wasn't on my side. It's time for me to go home. All those times I was trying my best, I guess it's not meant for me. Oh well, I was excited to go home on that day because I know that I will see my baby again.

My first time in Singapore has mixed feelings for me, I have been happy, sad, mad, stressed, depressed, excited, inspired and eventhough I didn't get what I wanted. And what we dreamed of did not come true. It's the experience that counts. And being thankful for everyday.

On my next blog,  I will show you my photos on my first time in Singapore.
